RESULTS
At Artemetrx, we place a high value on quantifiable results. That's because we focus on
value (more information). We expect our customers to apply the same rigorous value standard
to Artemetrx's products and services as they do to their other healthcare-related vendors.
When establishing a relationship with a new customer, we work together to create a contractual
agreement that often includes concrete guarantees of performance and/or savings. Additionally,
we sometimes enter into "at-risk" agreements in which all or a portion of our fees are
dependent on attaining a defined level of performance.
Delivering value for our customers usually involves either maintaining or reducing healthcare
expenditures. However, any effort to control cost must also take into consideration the effect
such an effort will have on quality. To provide a real example of our success in producing results,
consider the following national trend in prescription drug cost to the trend Artemetrx has helped
a set of our clients achieve. The customers included in this data are those that have implemented at
least three of our intervention programs (more information) and have been customers for at least three years.
Customers of Artemetrx have successfully reduced prescription expenditures to well below
the US average.
Two of the customers whose data is included in this graph, used some of the savings to implement a
unique diabetes disease management program driven by Artemetrx. The following graphs illustrate the impact
that this program has had on cost and quality (clinical) outcomes in the set of diabetic patients who have
participated in the program for at least 2 years.

Adherence to prescribed medication treatment is known to be a strong indicator of positive clinical outcomes and is therefore a reliable indicator
of the quality of diabetic care. The percent of members participating in the Artemetrx diabetes program who had adherence rates of 80% or above increased by 20%
following one year in the program. This compares to no change in the same measure among diabetic members not participating in the program.
